Continuing Disability Review
Navigate the Review Process
If you’re receiving Social Security disability benefits, the Social Security Administration (SSA) must have determined that you were disabled and unable to work. Note, however, the SSA is required by law to periodically review the case of every person who receives disability benefits. This process is called a Continuing Disability Review (CDR) and is meant to identify recipients who might no longer qualify as disabled. If the SSA concludes after its CDR that your medical condition has improved enough that you can return to work, your Social Security benefits will end.
If your benefits are stopped (called “cessation”), you have the right to appeal. Do not delay… Contact Sage Disability to file your appeal. Waiting too long can result in a denial.
At Sage Disability, we help you with every stage of the disability process, including a Continuing Disability Review. We will review your updated medical records, help you prepare for a consultative exam, and communicate with the SSA about your CDR report.
